Gary Powers, Jr. is a man of many titles and accomplishments. As the founder and chairman emeritus of The Cold War Museum in Vint Hill, VA, he has made a significant impact on preserving historic Cold War sites. His expertise in this area led to him being appointed chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee for the Cold War Theme Study, which assisted the National Park Service. Gary has also authored three books, including the newly released Enemy Territory. His work has even caught the attention of Steven Spielberg, who consulted with him for a 2015 thriller film. Gary's local roots run deep, as his great-great grandfather was none other than Warrenton dentist Dr. Hodgskin. In fact, visitors to the Fauquier History Museum can still see Dr. Hodgskin's dental equipment and instruments on display.
