    Here is your list of FREE Local Trick or Treating Events:

     

    Trick-or-Treating at Bristow Center

    When: Oct. 29, 1-3 p.m.

    Address: 10260-10494 Bristow Center Drive, Bristow

    Kids can go trick-or-treating at participating merchants in the Bristow Center shopping center, rain or shine.

     

    Halloween Celebration at The Marketplace at Madison Crescent

    When: Oct. 31, 3-5:30 p.m.

    Address: U.S. 29 and U.S. 15, Gainesville

    Kids can enjoy trick-or-treating, face painting, a balloon artist, giveaways and more.

     

    Trick-or-Treating at Bull Run Plaza

    When: Oct. 29, 2-4 p.m.

    Address: 10864 Sudley Manor Drive, Manassas

    Kids can go trick-or-treating at participating merchants in the Bristow Center shopping center, rain or shine.

     

    Canterbury Village’s 2016 Fall Festival

    When: Oct. 29, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

    Address: 8697 Sudley Road, Manassas 20110 (Across from PW Hospital)

    Wear your costume to trick-or-treat at participating merchants in the Canterbury Village shopping center.

     

    Haunted Happenings

    When: Oct. 29, 10 a.m. to noon

    Address: Historic Downtown Manassas, Center Street and Church Street area

    Kids can enjoy trick-or-treating at shops throughout Historic Downtown Manassas at this special event that also includes games, a costume contest and more family-friendly fun.

     

    St. Thomas United Methodist Church, Manassas Trunk-or-Treat

    When: Oct. 31, from 6-7:30 p.m.

    Address: 8899 Sudley Road, at the intersection of Sudley Road and Grant Avenue.

    This free community event includes free hotdogs, chips, popcorn, soda, waters and, of course, candy. The fun also includes games, moon bounces, old cartoon movies and more.

     

    Trick’R Treat at Manassas Mall

    When: Oct. 31, 5-7 p.m.

    Address: 8300 Sudley Road, Manassas

    Come in costume to trick-or-treat at participating stores in Manassas Mall.

     

    Trick-or-Treating at Davis Ford Crossing

    When: Oct. 29, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

    Address: 9946 Liberia Ave. Manassas

    Kids can go trick-or-treating at participating merchants in the Davis Ford Crossing shopping center, rain or shine.

     

    River of Grace Lutheran Church Annual Trunk or Treat

    When:  Oct. 29 from 5-7 p.m.

    Address: 15012 Dumfries Road, Manassas 20112

    The fun takes place rain or shine– it’s indoors! All are welcome.

     

    Trick-or-Treating at Dillingham Square

    When: Oct. 29, 12- 2 p.m.

    Address: 12351-12555 Old Bridge Rd., Lake Ridge 22192

    Kids can go trick-or-treating at participating merchants in the Dillingham Square shopping center, rain or shine

     

    Haunt the Town! at Historic Occoquan

    When:  Oct. 27, 11-8:30 p.m.

    Address: Mill Street, Occoquan

    The day’s events kick off at 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the Haunt the Town Halloween Hunt Contest to win $150 gift certificate, sponsored by the Occoquan Merchants Guild.  Free activities for everyone, including a carved pumpkin contest, a costume parade, a magic show, a movie in the park, and more!

     

    Malloween Boo Bash at Potomac Mills Mall

    When: Oct. 31, 5-7 p.m.

    Address: 2700 Potomac Mills Circle, Woodbridge

    Children 12 and under are invited to wear their costumes and enjoy safe trick-or-treating at participating stores. Kids can also enjoy a Reptiles Alive show in front of Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5th at 5 p.m. Halloween characters will be available to take photos with trick-or-treaters throughout the mall.

     

    Harvest Carnival at Christ Chapel

    When: Oct. 31 at 6 p.m.

    Address: 13909 Smoketown Road Woodbridge

    The huge, free event includes carnival rides, hayrides, inflatables, crafts, face painting, a pumpkin patch, food, and a trunk or treat.

     

    29th Annual Mall-O-Ween at Fair Oaks Mall

    When: Oct. 31, 5:30-8:30 p.m.

    Address: 11750 Fair Oaks Mall, Fairfax

    Fair Oaks Mall is celebrating its 29th annual Mall-O-Ween, one of the largest indoor trick-or-treating events in the area. The event is free and family-friendly and costumes are encouraged. Kids can try some spooky experiments sponsored by the Children’s Science Center Lab, enjoy face painting, and get candy at stations throughout the mall.

     

    Dulles Town Center’s Mall-o-Ween

    When: Oct. 29, 10 a.m.-noon

    Address: 21100 Dulles Town Circle, Dulles

    Children are invited to trick-or-treat for candy throughout the center and enjoy Halloween arts and crafts and a magic show at 11 a.m. The fun also includes horse-drawn hay rides at the mall’s main entrance. Masks allowed only for children 10 and under.

     

    Halloween Fest at Springfield Town Center

    When: Oct. 29, 2-4 p.m.

    Address: 6500 Springfield Mall, Springfield

    Dress in your costume for trick-or-treating around Springfield Town Center. The fun also includes a spooky magic show at 2 and 3 p.m., face painting and mini pumpkin decorating, for the first 400 kids. No masks allowed for anyone over 9, and no weapons of any kind permitted with costumes.

     

    Trick-or-Treating at Reston Town Center

    When: Oct. 29, 12-4

    Address: Reston Town Center, 11900 Market St., Reston

    Costumed children can visit participating retailers and the town center’s information center for candy. Look for the pumpkin flyer in the store’s window
