Deer, get ready to make it rein! We'll be riding in a sleigh for our holiday gathering! We have gained another year of experience, and our celebration has also received a "MAJOR VENUE UPGRADE"! About the Event

Occasionally each year, Pearmund Cellars offers a unique opportunity to taste a mix of previous and present Reserve wines from their "Black Label Collection."

 

On our factory floor, in small seated groups, the hour-long tasting will take place. Our staff will provide customers with information about the wines' details, what makes them reserves, past vintages' changes, and more during the tasting. Each visitor will receive a charcuterie platter to pair with the wines.

 

The wines come from several vintages, and each is among the best we have made in recent years when compared to other vintages or "white label" wines. All wines will be sold at discounted rates to event attendees.

 

Tastings are scheduled on Saturday and Sunday January 14th and 15th at:12:00pm, 1:30pm, 3:00pm

Join Celebrity Pastry Chef Dawn Alston, a contestant on Food Network's Wedding Cake Championship, in our Italian Meringue Buttercream Beginners Cake Decorating Class.

 

Each participant will receive a 3-layered, 5-inch cake, which they will learn how to level and crumb coat. Chef Dawn will demonstrate how to prepare Italian Meringue Buttercream in front of the class. Following this presentation, the students will learn how to pipe various cake decorations and how to apply the final buttercream coat. Throughout the lesson, Chef Dawn will impart further advice and methods for cake design. The recipe for the Italian Meringue Buttercream will be distributed to each student.

The Stafford NAACP will host “Celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr.” beginning at 2 pm on Jan 15 at the The Historic Rowser Building.

 

"Celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr." will be held on Sunday, January 15 at 2 pm in the Historic Rowser Building, 1739 Richmond Highway in Stafford, Virginia, with assistance from the Stafford Museum.

 

A few passionate and vivacious pastors from the neighborhood, including Rev. Joshua Cole, Bishop Leonard Lacy, Rev. Lisa Logan, and Rev. Cynthia Davis, will present excerpts from Martin Luther King Jr.'s speeches and writings and provide brief commentary on them in honor of the strength of his words. The master of ceremonies is Paulette Tucker. Gaye Adegbalola, a blues singer, will perform, along with liturgical dancers, soloists, choirs, music by Rev. Carl Armstrong, and a presentation to a 100+ year-old black man.
